PRIMARY VOCATIONAL TRAINING – WELDING TECHNOLOGY

Welding technology primary vocational training course is opened to provide learning and practicing opportunities for many subjects. Among them are those who have just graduated from high school but do not have the desire to study for college or university degree or those who have welding jobs and want to strengthen the professional skills.

Although primary vocational training is not too new, it is considered the most suitable choice for many subjects. Because of short training duration and low tuition fee, learners can learn quickly and find job soon. Training course is organized for both individuals and enterprises.

I. PRIMARY VOCATIONAL TRAINING OF WELDING TECHNOLOGY

Safety Care organizes primary vocational training in welding technology in accordance with Circular No. 42/2015/ND-CP with the purpose of training and retraining working skills for workers, helping workers to apply for the job effectively. The trainee must be at least 18 years old and have minimum general education level of 9/12. Safety Care will directly issue vocational training certificate in accordance with the law right after completing the course.

II. OBJECTIVES OF WELDING TECHNOLOGY PRIMARY VOCATIONAL TRAINING

  • Presenting basic knowledge about symbols of welds, welding materials, welding equipment and electric welding techniques.
  • Explaining safety regulations when using electrical welding method.
  • Preparing welding materials, identifying welding gases, welding rods used in electrical welding method.
  • Knowing how to calculate the welding mode in accordance with the thickness, properties of materials, positions and types of welding connection.
  • Welding welds in many different positions, such as flat welding, vertical welding, horizontal welding by using SMAW, GTAW and GMAW method.
  • Having a sense of responsibility and a sense of self-discipline in learning.
  • Having industrial style, progressive consciousness and professional ethics.
  • Having ability to work independently in electrical welding workshops in enterprises after training.
  • Working in team and working independently in some assigned works.

III. DURATION OF WELDING TECHNOLOGY PRIMARY VOCATIONAL TRAINING COURSE

1. Course duration and minimum actual study time:

  • Training time: 03 months
  • Studying time: 11 weeks
  • Minimum actual study time: 392 hours
  • Time for review and final exams, modules and graduation exams: 32 hours (in which, graduation exam: 8 hours)

2. Distribution of minimum actual study time:

  • Time for all subjects and vocational training modules: 392 hours
  • Time for theory: 64 hours
  • Time for practice: 328 hours

IV. LIST OF SUBJECTS AND TRAINING MODULES

Module 1: Manufacturing welding workpieces with total amount of time

Module 2: Electric hand arc welding

Module 3: Basic MAG/MIG welding method

Module 4: Basic TIG welding method

The modules will be trained in 392 hours, including 60 hours of theoretical study, 300 hours of practical study and 32 hours of examination

V. TRAINING PROGRAMS IN MODULES

Module 1: Manufacturing welding workpieces

  • Welding workshop rules – Work safety
  • Cutting the welded workpieces with a straight blade cutter
  • Cutting the workpieces with Oxygen flame – combustion gas
  • Drilling metal
  • Grinding metal
  • Final exam

Module 2: Electric hand arc welding

  • Basic knowledge of electrical arc welding
  • Operating hand arc welding equipment
  • Welding steel plate without beveled edge by arc welding method for 1G position
  • Welding steel plate without beveled edge by arc welding method for 1F position
  • Welding steel plate with beveled edge by arc welding method for 1F position
  • Welding steel plate without beveled edge by arc welding method for 2G position
  • Welding steel plate with beveled edge by arc welding method for 2G position
  • Welding steel plate without beveled edge by arc welding method for 2F position
  • Welding steel plate with beveled edge by arc welding method for 2F position
  • Welded steel plate without beveled edge by arc welding method for 3G position 
  • Welding steel plate with beveled edge by arc welding method for 3G position
  • Welding steel plate without beveled edge by arc welding method for 3F position
  • Welding steel plate with beveled edge by arc welding method for 3F position
  • Final exam

Module 3: Basic MAG welding method

  • Providing basic knowledge of MAG welding
  • Operating MAG welding equipment
  • Welding steel plate without beveled edge by 1G MAG welding posture 
  • Welding steel plate with beveled edge by 1G MAG welding posture
  • Welding steel plate without beveled edge  by 1F MAG welding posture 
  • Welding steel plate with beveled edge by 1F MAG welding posture
  • Welding steel plate without beveled edge by 2G MAG welding posture 
  • Welding steel plate with beveled edge by 2G MAG welding posture
  • Welding steel plate without beveled edge by 3G MAG welding posture 
  • Welding steel plate with beveled edge by 3G MAG welding posture
  • Final exam

Module 4: Basic TIG Welding

  • Basic TIG welding
  • Operating TIG welding equipment
  • Welding steel plate without beveled by 1G TIG welding posture 
  • Welding steel plate with beveled edge by 1G TIG welding posture
  • Welding steel plate without beveled by 1F TIG welding posture 
  • Welding steel plate without beveled by 2G TIG welding posture 
  • Welding steel plate without beveled by 3G TIG welding posture 
  • Final exam

 

VI. BENEFITS OF THE TRAINING COURSE

  • Helping students master the basic knowledge of welding convention, welding technology, welding equipment and welding materials;

  • Conducting works in the welding workshops;
  • Being provided with detailed compilation of documents according to the training program framework;
  • Being provided with tools and equipment (if any) during the training process;
  • Teachers are available to advise support before and after the course;
  • Getting the certificate of welding technology primary vocational training in accordance with the Circular 42/2015/TT-BLĐTBXH.

VII. DOCUMENTS FOR REGISTRATION

In order to attend the primary vocational training in welding technology, trainee need to submit:

  • Registration form certified by the Company
  • 01 photo size 3 × 4
  • 01 identity card (copy)
